Cisternino
From the belvedere of the public gardens, the gaze opens onto the Cisternino countryside, rich in vineyards, olive groves, fruit trees, farms - the oldest of which date back to the XV-XVI centuries - and trulli, the singular dry-stone buildings with the cone-shaped dome covered with stone slabs. We are in the Itria Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cisternino has the largest forest in the Province of Brindisi, about 200 hectares of Mediterranean scrub and pine forest subject to forest restrictions.

An expanse of dry stone trulli gives Alberobello a unique and inimitable horizon, recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. In the heart of the Murgia dei Trulli, 50 kilometers from Bari, a graceful expanse of pinnacles announces Alberobello, with its characteristic historic center a World Heritage Site. Orange Flag for the Italian Touring Club, the heart of the town is entirely made up of trulli, the original dry stone houses, whitewashed with quicklime and with a cone-shaped roof made of exposed stones.
